Gary T. Puma, President and Chief Executive Officer
Gary T. Puma is President and Chief Executive Officer of PHS Senior Living, New Jersey's leading senior housing provider.

Appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1997, Mr. Puma has guided the company through a period of unprecedented growth, initiating and directing a three-year strategic expansion and repositioning plan that led to dynamic growth in all three product sectors. Mr. Puma used this success to create a new development, management and consulting affiliate, creating profitable new business opportunities both overseas and in the U.S.

Mr. Puma holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Monmouth University and is licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Nursing Home Administrator and an Assisted Living Administrator. He has presented on retirement housing topics to the New Jersey Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging, the Assisted Living Federation of America, the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, New Jersey Business and Industry Association and others.

Mr. Puma served on the State of New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Assisted Living Task Force, New Jersey Housing Mortgage and Finance Agency Assisted Living Task Force and the Board of Trustees for six PHS affordable housing communities. He has participated in drafting affordable housing regulation for the State of New Jersey and is a 1996 recipient of the New Jersey State Governor's Award for Management Excellence.

Charles R. Mooney, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Charles R. Mooney serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PHS Senior Living, a not-for-profit, non-sectarian retirement housing provider with over 90 years of experience. In this capacity he is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the operating activities of the organization including community operations, resident care, human resources, professional, ancillary and administrative services. Mr. Mooney joined PHS in 1998. He previously held the positions of Vice President - Managed Care Services and Executive Director - Physician Hospital Organization, at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Mr. Mooney holds a Master of Public Administration degree in Health Care Management from New York University as well as a Master of Psychology degree from Rowan University. Professional memberships include the New Jersey Society of Managed Care Executives, Group Health Association of America, New Jersey Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging, and The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. Mr. Mooney also served as a member of the Board of Trustees (1994-1997) and Chairman of the Board (1996-1997) of the Presbyterian Homes of Atlantic Highlands, Inc. (1994-1997).

Garrett Midgett III, CPA, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
GarrettGarrett Midgett serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of PHS Senior Living. In this capacity he is responsible for implementing the financial policies approved by the Board of Trustees and required by governmental agencies or regulatory bodies including financial reporting, development and implementation of internal financial policies, monitoring investment composition, strategic planning for Development, Finance, Information Technology and Marketing, and record keeping for all Board of Trustee and Committee meetings.

Mr. Midgett served formerly as Senior Vice President, Princeton Senior Living. He was also Controller and Vice President of Finance for Presbyterian Homes and Services. Prior to that, Mr. Midgett worked for a New York City based CPA and consulting firm specializing in the healthcare sector.

Mr. Midgett holds his BS from Thomas Edison State College and is a licensed CPA in the state of NJ. His professional affiliations include New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Association of Non Profit Homes for the Aging, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, and the New Jersey Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Maureen E. Cafferty, Vice President and General CounselMaureen Cafferty
Maureen E. Cafferty serves as Vice President and General Counsel for PHS Senior Living, a not-for-profit, non-sectarian retirement housing provider with over 90 years of experience. In this capacity she is responsible for the analysis of legal and policy issues within the organization including the development and financing of senior housing communities, acquisitions, contract negotiations, employment law issues and health care regulatory matters. Ms. Cafferty joined PHS in 1999. She previously held the position of associate for Dechert Price & Rhoads.

Ms Cafferty graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve School of Law. She graduated cum laude from Seton Hall University, College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree. Professional memberships include the American Health Lawyers Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
